I only accept US Postal Money Orders (United States Post office Money Order) or Cash (US Dollars only) as payment.
If you pay with a US Postal Money Orders (United States Post office Money Order) The money order must arrive and be cashed before I will release the puppy to the buyer.
US Postal Money Orders (United States Post office Money Order) can be purchased from your local United States Post Office I DO NOT accept any other form of money order.
I will not release any Anatolian Shepherd from my care until I have payment in full.
Please DO NOT send more money than needed to cover my travel fee and/or the price of the puppy.
All US Postal Money Orders must be made payable to Jessica Ochsenkiel.
I highly recommend that you send the US Postal Money Order certified mail so that it can be tracked. Any payment lost in the mail will be treated as if it was never sent.
Payment from Canada
We accept Canadian Postal Money Orders in US dollars only.
Please arrange pickup prior to purchase. We require full payment for the puppy and all shipping cost before we ship the pup.
Hand Delivery
We drive the puppy to you or a location near you (we prefer to meet at an interstate exit gas station or McDonalds)
This is our preferred method because we are uncomfortable with sending a puppy via a third party and do not guarantee the third party's competence or the safe arrival of the puppy.
We hand the puppy to you with AKC papers, health record, training tips, sales agreement, recommended health program and puppy food samples.
If there are multiple puppies going in your direction you can split the cost of the delivery with the other buyers.
Fee
1 puppy 1000 miles $400
2 puppies in the same direction 1000 miles $200 each
As more puppies travel in the same direction the fee will decrease.
Due to our limited time as we both work day jobs, delivery will mostly happen on the weekends and can't typically exceed 1500 miles one way.
Air Shipping
A puppy cannot be shipped by air if it is less then 8 weeks old. Please note that if the weather is too cold or too hot, the airlines will not ship a puppy.
If you want to ship by air, you need to call Pet First at 888-736-3738. They are the booking agency for shipping dogs on delta airlines. Delta is the only airline that ships dogs out of the Springfield-Branson National Airport located in Springfield, Missouri.
I can also ship a puppy from the Saint Louis International Airport.
Travel Fee
As the puppy grows older, it requires a larger kennel to meet airline requirements.
Below you will find a list of what size kennel the puppy will require at what age.
An Anatolian puppy that is 8 to 10 1/2 weeks old can be shipped in a medium (27L x 20W x 19H) size kennel.
An Anatolian puppy that is 11+ weeks old can be shipped in an intermediate (32L x 22W x 23H) size kennel.
Shipping by air requires a veterinarian health certificate. This currently costs $17.50.
Gas for my three hour trip will be $50 to go to Springfield and $100 to go to Saint Louis which is a seven hour trip.
I have not shipped a puppy that needs a bigger kennel then the intermediate, so I do not know what age they will be when they need the next size up.
