It is standard for us to send out emails to our customer to check up on the puppies and their progress when the pups are 6 months to 1 year old. Below are some of the responses we have gotten. Names and locations have been changed to protect the privacy of the owners.

Just wanted to let you know that Tiberius (the name I finally decided on) is doing great. We are back up in Pennsylvania now and back at work. Thursday night I stopped at a truck stop to catch a few hours sleep. I put Ty up on the bed behind me, When I woke up in the morning he was in front of me asleep with his head laying on my arm.

He is starting to walk on a leash pretty good, when I got home from your house Tuesday and tried to put him on a leash I literally had to drag him.

I took him to the vet Wed. for his rabies shot, boy were they impressed they were raving about not only how healthy he was but how smart he was.

Anyway we are bonding great, the only real issue, which will just take time to overcome, is that he wont tolerate other dogs near him when he is eating. We also have a 6 month old Puggle and Ty snarled at him when he got close and Gus (the Puggle) wanted to try to take him on, I had to hold both of them back to prevent a fight.

I will try to send pictures of Ty as he grows up.

I think the hardest part about breeding dogs would be having to sell them.

Thanks Again

Norm

Hi Jessica,

I hope all is well with you.  My husband and I bought one of your Anatolian Shepherd back in April and took her home with us to Tennessee.  We named her Emma and she is doing great.  I can honestly say she is the best dog we have ever had.  Smart, quick thinking, loveable, and above all, doing excellent with our goats and  other animals.  (She especially loves Bubba the barn kitty)  I thought you might enjoy seeing a couple of pictures of her.  She went to the vet yesterday to get her rabies shot and she weighs 62 and 1/2 pounds.  She was also the best behaved dog there.

I will keep in touch so you can see how well she is doing.  Let us know if you breed Emma’s mom again.  We are seriously thinking of adding an additional Anatolian to our farm.

Have a great weekend,
 Karen

Hi Ladies!

Kipper is a very smart pup. She's already very wary of strangers and alerts us to when something isn't right. If I'm outside and someone she's not familiar with comes to the house she will stand in front of me and bark. She will always put herself in between the family and the stranger that comes over. This isn't negative and I value this trait a lot.

Kipper is stubborn and hears you calling for her only when she wants to.  She loves affection and will lay her head in your lap if she can reach you.

Kipper is a BEAUTIFUL dog. From her markings to her cute curly tail. She's great with the chickens and hasn't displayed any hostility towards them at all. Kipper is great with the babies she's a little clumsy so we limit the contact with the kids based only because of Kips size.

I haven't noticed any physical issues- the vet says Kip is very healthy and everyone in the office comments on how beautiful she is.

Kipper walks beautifully on a leash and it didn't require any training...just a little tug to get her to pay attention but that's it.

Sorry if this is more information than you wanted. To sum it all up it's safe to say that our next dog will be from Pearls Anatolian Shepherds.

Good morning Noelle,

Max has to be the most well behaved and protective puppy I have ever had. We understand how strong and independent this breed is, so we have made it a point to teach Max appropriate behavior. The mouthing of the hand thing was just unusual to me, so I thought I would ask. When asked to stop mouthing my hand he does. He lays on his back a lot and has his belly rubbed. Actually, he lays on his back to sleep most of the time. It does not matter if we are at home or traveling in the truck. He knows he cannot come into the kitchen when we cook and lays just outside of the kitchen. We call it the invisible line, but he knows it. He comes when he is called, always sits before we allow him to exit the house and is learning great manners when we eat. He is a very active puppy. Darius and him play hard for several hours each day. It is amazing how much energy he has. Thank you for forwarding me the responses. If anyone is ever interested in speaking with one of the lucky people who have an off spring of your amazing dogs, feel free to give them my number. We moved and the dogs have a huge yard to play, as well as many acres of land when we are at the family ranch.

Thanks again,

Pam

P. S. I forgot to add something else. Max is great around young children. I have a friend who has 3 children ages 2, 4 & 6. Max will run behind the girls with them, but he will not bite or jump on them:)

Salutations from Eastern Kentucky,

We are very happy with our pup which we have christened Bingo.

He is very loyal and protective.

He is guarded around strangers and new things.

He is a healthy 68.2 lbs as of the 3rd of May, 2011.(This is at 6 months old)

He is very smart but also very stubborn.

He can be easily trained with a firm, consistant hand, definitely not a dog for an inexperienced trainer.

He is very rambunctious and has to be closely supervised when playing with our 4 year old daughter.

He has also kept all deer and coyotes away from our ranchstead.

He is well adjusted around our guineas, barncats and cattle.  Not chasing or threatening any of them.

I calved out 116 heifers under the watchful and curious eye of Bingo.  One thing about him is that he very rarely barks without cause.  So when he began to bark one night shortly after midnight I arose to investigate.  A heifer had got her back downhill and could not get up.  She was bloated nearly to the point of death.  I was able to save her and I give full credit to Bingo.

All in all I would heartily recommend an Anatolian Shepherd for the right person and the right situation.

I am absolutely thrilled with ours

Hi Mme Hunt,
I have a little question because here person is able to say me if Gaspard have a nice grow. On April 6th when Gaspard was at veterinary for his last vaccins. Then he weight 48.6 pounds this last thuseday. Is it good? We like very very Gas, he is a very nice dog. I take some ride with a rope inside the road here... He is wonderful! He listen, walk with the same walk of me, don't pull on the road... I,m really happy of him. He had see his first moose this week, in the woods with my father. My father like him too, he walk all 2 days in woods, around 10 km (about7 miles) and Gas listen as an adult dog. This next thuseday, Gas and me will go take a small school for obedience, because he is very guardian. I want he keep his guardian's instinct but I wasen't he bite my neighbourg or my visit. Michel, it's his name, want to cultivate the tie between Gas and me, because he is very loving for me, never he contest my autority and when I go to work, if my father don't bring him in ride it's almost "sad" dog! And I want just do a good action for him, the (Michel) man from petshop is a kind of expert with Belgium berg, German berg, pit Bull then I think he can give me some tricks. It's particulary for my mother because she have any control on him... She have not control on his Shit Sue... But for me, Gas follow me everywhere, sllep in my bedroom, seat, give the leg, take food very sweet and he like very like my daughter, Sophia!!! He bring Sophia at bus everyday, weep and do a small song when she arrive here. The morning, Sophia enter in my bedroom and awake Gas and sleep on him... And now same if Gas have just 4 months old, I can let Maude alone with him in the house when I go a stable... Person could touch Sophia! Now we have a little springtime, the snow melt and soon, I will bring Gaspard with the sheeps and goats. With gaspard's comportement, I'm very optimist for my futur Akbash'female puppy because if she listen as Gas, it will be very easy to have a good team. But he want eat the dog at my neighbourg, I hope that he will accept the female puppy in May because Gas will have almost 6 months. Do you think it's possible again at 6 months?  For the moment, he run all the time, jump on chairs, overcoat the small table, a piece on bed... He is very laugh and nimble!
Thank you for your patience again and I will wait your answer, I'm sorry because person here is able to answer me because the first Anatolian they had see, it's Gaspard.
                                                            Thank again!
